$550 | Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization $600 | Cover Up/Correction $200 | Touch Up (8-10+ weeks) $300 | Annual Touch Up (9-12+ weeks)

Lip Blush services include customized mapping and shade selection. All lip blush services have one initial session and a recommended touch up session 8-10 weeks later. Touch Up sessions are a separate cost from your initial session. A complimentary aftercare kit is included. Semi permanent lip blush will last up to 1-3 years before the pigment begins to fade from the skin.

If you have darker lips or melanin rich lips, multiple sessions will be required to achieve your desired color. Darker lips must be neutralized first before the target color will show. Usually 2-3 sessions will be needed.

  • Can I have lip blush done if I have lip fillers? Yes, lip blush can be done if you have lip fillers! It must be at least 4 weeks since you’ve had lip fillers before you can have a lip blush service done.

Will lip blush make my lips bigger?Your lips can swell for up to 72 hours after your lip blush procedure. The swelling is temporary and your lips will reduce back to your normal size. I will not tattoo outside of the vermillion lip border. Lip blush is not the same as getting lip fillers/injections! A lip blush procedure will give your lips a flush of color and even out minor asymmetry.

Will you tattoo my lips if I’ve had them done before? If you have had work done by another artist, you must be approved before booking an appointment. Cover ups/Corrections require an in person consultation. Your old work must be faded at least 80-90% from when you originally had them done to be a candidate. Laser or Saline Removal may be recommended before moving forward with a correction service. It may take more than one correction appointment to color correct your old work! If there is significant scarring from a previous tattoo or procedure, you are not a candidate. Not all correction work can be done!

Why are the appointments 2-3 hours long? Your appointment time includes:

    An in depth consultation

    Before & after photos

    Customized mapping & shaping

Tattooing the lips with up to 3-5 passes to build pigment

    Explanation of aftercare

What is the difference between lip blush and lip neutralization? Lip neutralization is a gradual process that can help to even out uneven and dark tones in the lips. Lips that are dark in color or melanin rich must be neutralized before the target color will show. Multiple sessions will be necessary to achieve your desired result.

Is the touch-up appointment necessary? A touch up appointment is always recommended to complete your cosmetic tattoo, as it is generally a two step process. However, everyone heals differently and some clients may be happy with their results after one session. If you feel an extra touch up is needed beyond your first two sessions, please reach out by email: badwavebrows@gmail.com

My lip color is flaking off! What should I do?! Don’t panic! Your lip blush will take up to 35 days to fully heal. The first 2-5 days after your procedure you will notice that the color is appearing to flake off. This is part of the process! After the brighter pigment naturally exfoliates off, you will be left with a soft flush of color on your lips.

Why did my lip blush fade after my first appointment? A lip blush service is generally a two step process: an initial and touch up session. Your lips can fade and lighten up to 50% once healed. A touch-up appointment is recommended to achieve optimal results for your cosmetic tattoo.

How bad does it hurt? There will be a slight amount of pain during your service. Numbing products are used throughout the procedure to help alleviate any discomfort. If you are having this service performed during your menstrual cycle you may have increased discomfort. You may have some swelling, bruising, and irritation up to 72 hours after your procedure.

Can I wear makeup after getting permanent makeup? Avoid wearing makeup on the tattooed area for 7-10 days after your procedure; or until fully healed. You can still wear makeup everywhere else on the face.

Is permanent makeup really permanent? Cosmetic tattoos are semi permanent, meaning the pigment is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and will not wash off. The pigment will begin to fade from the skin after 1-3 years depending on the client’s skin type, skincare, and lifestyle. It may never fade completely from the skin.

What if I don’t like how my permanent makeup looks? I will consult with you first before beginning your procedure. We will pick out your shape and colors that suit you the best. You will be a big part of the process! Keep in mind that a lip blush service will be much bolder when you first have it done, and then fade up to 50% as they heal. You will not be tattooed until you agree on the procedure.

What if I have an allergic reaction? If an allergic reaction occurs after the procedure you will be referred to your primary care physician for treatment. Patch tests are available to clients if they feel they may have an allergic reaction. Patch tests are required before a service if there is any type of skin condition near or around the area being tattooed such as psoriasis, eczema, etc. If these skin conditions are directly on the area then you are not a candidate for cosmetic tattooing.
